TRIM LEVELS OF THE 2019 JAGUAR E-PACE
The E-Pace represents Jaguar in the luxury crossover SUV class. Joining its F-Pace and I-Pace siblings, the E-Pace offers drivers a way to enjoy the Jaguar brand handling, power, and luxury, while also having the convenience and flexibility of an SUV. The E-Pace also has an impressive exterior design that is unique to anything else on the market. If you have settled on the E-Pace being your next vehicle, you may wonder – which trim level is best for me? Here we go over the various models, and what each has to offer. The 2019 Jaguar E-Pace is offered in two main trims distinguished by engine output: the base P250 and the P300 R-Dynamic. Within those two trims are four sub-trims. All models come with all-wheel drive and use a nine-speed automatic transmission.
How Much Power do you Need?
The first decision in choosing your E-Pace model is the power of level you are looking for. Here, there are two options. The base E-Pace P250 is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 246 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The E-Pace R-Dynamic gets a more powerful version of that engine. It pumps up the horsepower to 296 and torque to 295 lb-ft. In addition to the power increase, E-Pace P300 R-Dynamic models add on sport front seats with contrast stitching, performance-enhancing rear differential, special exterior and interior styling details, and front foglights.
Which features are most important to have?
Within each of the two main trims, there are four subtrims, the Standard, S, SE and HSE. As the trim levels go up, so do the features and technology that come standard. Of course, even the base Standard trim comes well out-fitted. But if you are looking for an absolutely loaded model, you should check out all that the HSE has to offer!
Standard: This represents the E-Pace as the base model. It rides on 17-inch wheels, and has exterior/safety features such as LED headlights, heated mirrors, automatic wipers, front and rear parking sensors, lane keeping assist and forward collision warning and mitigation with low-speed automatic braking are also included. In the cabin of the Standard you will find a push-button start, a 10-inch touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control, 60/40-split folding rear seats, dual USB ports, and a six-speaker sound system.
S Trim: The S trim adds onto the Standard with 18-inch wheels, LED running lights, and bigger front brakes. In the cabin you will find leather seating, a navigation system, power-adjustable front seats, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
SE Trim: With this model you get even bigger wheels (19-inch), automatic high beams, a power liftgate, and an automated parking system. Interior features include power-adjustable lumbar and memory settings for the front seats, and an 11-speaker premium audio system.
HSE Trim: This trim only falls under the higher powered R-Dynamic P300 model line. Wheels are 20-inch. A hands-free liftgate, keyless entry, blind-spot monitoring system, adaptive cruise control and high-speed emergency braking all come standard. Step into the cabin and you will find upgraded front seats, premium leather upholstery and a full-digital gauge cluster display.
Some of the features that come standard in the upper trims are available as an add on for the lower trim levels. There are also various packages you can select, including the Cold Climate package.
